ABOUT PALMER GALLERY
Palmer Art Projects is committed to the long–term exhibition, promotion and sale of a select group of International and Australian contemporary artists, presenting a diverse schedule of exhibitions at the permanent space PALMER and International Art Fairs.
Founded by Diana Palmer in 2015 and located on Queen Street, Woollahra, the exhibition space offers a diverse annual curatorial program of solo and group exhibitions, artist talks, collaborations and offsite projects. Including artists Alice Couttoupes, Mitch Ferrie, Marc Freeman, David Gamble, Scott Gardiner, Nick Leary, Lisa McCleary, Anna Pogossova, Orlan Erin Raleigh, Jonathan Rosen & Tom Smith.
ABOUT DIANA PALMER
Prior to founding Palmer Art Projects in 2013 and then the permanent exhibition space, PALMER, in 2015, Diana had professional appointments at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney (MCA), Sullivan+Strumpf, Tim Olsen Gallery and Sothebys as well as being appointed guest curator of THE ART HUNTER in 2014, a major exhibition of International and Australian art sponsored by Jaguar.
Diana also developed and launched the dynamic Museum of Contemporary Art, Young Ambassadors program in 2011. This industry leading program was designed to engage audiences in contemporary art and philanthropy and has been a model for philanthropic membership programs in the arts ever since. She is currently on the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize Committee and a dedicated volunteer lifesaver on the Northern Beaches.
With a Masters of Communication from University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Fine Arts UNSW, Diana brings critical expertise to exhibition development whilst consistently focussing on accessibility and engagement within the arts sector.
